From the first sight of Emre Can under Jurgen Klopp, things are already looking promising.

Many saw a different side of Can in the German's first game, against Tottenham. He was looking like a different player, playing with more confidence, charging forward with the ball and creating opportunities for the strikers, whilst getting back to help defend and doing so effectively.

From the first whistle to the last Can didn't stop closing people down, the determination to get that ball back was so nice to see, he was showing passion for the game which hadn't been so obvious recently amongst Liverpool players.

The last 18 months were tough for Can under Brendan Rodgers. Being part of a back three, where he wasn't really comfortable playing next to Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren, he wasn't free to move forward or backward like he was able to do in midfield.

Under Klopp at Liverpool, it looks like Can is going to get much more freedom in midfield, starting next to James Milner, but with captain Jordan Henderson quickly recovering from injury, Can knows that he must hard to keep his place in the starting 11. Will there be room in the team for Can once everyone is available? We shall see.

Euro's for Can?

With Germany going to next summer's European Championships, there's another goal for Can as he hopes to get in the squad, and even get some game time.

Its going to be tough for Can, being an outcast for the German team with the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Mesut Ozil, Ilkay Gundogan and Mario Gotze occupying midfield roles.

This is a shame because Can is a unit of a player to have in the team, driving runs forward and searching passes to help assist Thomas Müller, or just to bring on as a super sub to change the game around.

Even though it's unlikely to thrust him into the reconing for a starting spot at international just yet, more performances like the one against Tottenham might just.
