Jürgen Klopp goes in search of his fourth win on the bounce and his first Premier League victory on home soil as Liverpool host Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The German fielded a rested, but strong side during the week, making four changes as Liverpool managed to beat Rubin Kazan 1-0 to secure their first European win this season.

After drawing his first three games in charge, Klopp is now on a three match winning streak and will be hoping to extend that run to four against Alan Pardew's visitors.

Another three points this weekend could see Liverpool jump up-to fifth in the table, depending if other results also go their way - though they'll need to overcome a team who have become a bit of a bogey side for them in recent years to do so.

Team News

Klopp is expected to recall some of the key players that he rested during the week. These include the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Martin Skrtel, Lucas Leiva and Adam Lallana.

Jordon Ibe - who scored the goal in Kazan, his first for the club - has looked like a new player under the boss and will be hoping to push for a starting place more regularly now.

However, it is unlikely he will start on the weekend, after playing for the full 90-minutes against Kazan - meaning Lallana and Coutinho will likely play behind Christian Benteke.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is close to returning to the team, but this game comes too soon and instead he is expected to return after the international break, meaning James Milner is likely to retain the armband.

Daniel Sturridge is also expected to miss the game against Palace, after his knee injury continues to keep him out - whilst long-term absentees Danny IngsJoe Gomez and Jon Flanagan are all sidelines.

Crystal Palace defender Pape Souare may return after recovering from injury, but attacking trio Connor Wickham, Dwight Gayle and Marouane Chamakh are expected to remain out for the Eagles.

The Opponents

Crystal Palace have caused Liverpool a great deal of problems in recent meetings.

The last time these two teams played was Steven Gerrard's last Liverpool home game before leaving for America, and the midfielder's party was spoiled when Liverpool lost 3-1.

The former captain is expected to return to Anfield this weekend with his MLS season having now ended, but this time only as a spectator, hoping that this time, his former club can pick up all three points.

Head-to-Head

Crystal Palace boast a very impressive recent record against Liverpool.

Of the last five Premier League games against the Merseyside outfit, Palace have managed to win three and lost just once.

The Londoners also have an impressive goal scoring record against Liverpool, scoring 14 goals in their last seven league games against the Reds.

The hosts will have to be wary once again this weekend, as their defence is still inconsistent, and Palace have a frightening attack that oozes with pace, that have caused plenty of teams problems already this season.
