Liverpool FC's fears have been eased over Philippe Coutinho's hamstring injury, which is only minor according to the initial reaction to his scan results.
The Brazilian picked up the knock mid-way through the second-half of Saturday's 4-1 win against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, spreading fear and panic given the Reds' recent injury woes.
Coutinho was an integral architect in a monumental victory, running City ragged as an own goal from Eliaquim Mangala handed the visitors the initiative before the playmaker doubled the advantage, whilst compatriot Roberto Firmino and a spectacular Martin Skrtel volley added the gloss to give Jürgen Klopp's men another massive morale-boost.
Afterwards, the German dismissed Coutinho's problem as a small issue and said the 23-year-old complained of cramp before coming off. Following that, the club's medical staff decided to wait 48 hours before sending the player for scans - in the hope that time would allow any swelling or pain to settle down.
And results from Monday's scan has since revealed that the Reds do not have to live without the in-form Coutinho, who has fired four goals in his last three league games, though he's very unlikely to be available for Thursday's Europa League group stage clash with Bordeaux at Anfield.

Nevertheless, Liverpool are hopeful that their No.10 can overcome the injury and have sufficient training time in order to take part in their Premier League encounter with Swansea City on Sunday afternoon.
Whilst Klopp and his backroom staff will be desperate for Coutinho to return to the starting eleven swiftly, they are at least boosted by the return of Daniel Sturridge - who was named on the substitutes' bench at City - whilst Jordon Ibe, James Milner and Kolo Touré all shook off knocks to play in some capacity.
Klopp's options in the final third are also strengthened by Christian Benteke nearing full fitness, whilst Roberto Firmino is steadily beginning to justify his £29 million summer price-tag - producing his best performance yet in a red shirt away at City, with a goal and two assists the highlights of a sublime display.
Captain Jordan Henderson is also in the process of stepping up his recovery from a foot injury, after being sidelined since mid-August with an initial heel problem - with local lads Jordan Rossiter and Jon Flanagan, who hasn't made a competitive appearance since the final day of the 2013-14 season, also progressing well.
Coutinho, meanwhile, will find out the exact length of time he can expect to be sidelined when the full extent of the damage is revealed on Tuesday.
