The "big lift" of the returns of Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge mean anything is possible for Liverpool, according to Jordon Ibe.

The duo both made their first appearances under Jürgen Klopp as they stretched to a third win in eight days with a 1-0 success over Swansea City

Returning from lengthy absences, the impacts of the England internationals - who had not featured since August and the beginning of October respectively - were somewhat restricted.

However, Ibe believes the boost of their returns give to their team-mates, the manager and the club as a whole mean that Liverpool can approach the festive period with a positive frame of mind.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, he described it as a "big lift" having Sturridge and Henderson back on the pitch after long spells on the sidelines - hailing them as "big figures" in the team.

Whilst the win over the Swans lifted Klopp's charges up to sixth in the league table, the teenage winger added that the availability of the two will help the side "get back to form" given "how important they can be" on and off the pitch.

Ibe explained that Liverpool have got "good players" coming back into the fold, including Philippe Coutinho - who missed Sunday's victory with a slight hamstring problem, which will help them "climb even higher."

The No.33 insisted that "anything is possible" with such star quality returning, but vowed to take it "game by game" as the face eight games over the course of the next four weeks, with Southampton next up - where they will "try to do it again" in order to reach the final four of the Capital One Cup.

Ibe: "Reds have to keep winning run going"

The midweek trip to St Mary's, where they face the Saints in the quarter-finals, represents yet another tough task for the Reds, though they will be high on confidence having won six of their last seven in all competitions.

James Milner's penalty in the second-half was enough to maintain their streak in tough weather conditions on Sunday, and Ibe hailed it as an important three points in their search for momentum.

The 19-year-old stated that he was "just happy with the result" to "keep that consistency" after securing three consecutive wins, targeting a fourth win on the bounce on the south coast.

He admitted that Swansea "made it hard" for them at Anfield, due to the numbers they got "behind the ball" in the first-half, before putting "a lot of crosses" into the home side's box after the break - but said his team-mates "defended well" to keep them at bay.

Ibe insisted Liverpool cannot afford to get carried away, explaining that Klopp will not allow them to "focus on any other other team" - rather, the Reds will be determined to focus on themselves, keep "winning games" and maintaining "consistency" as they look to keep their run going.

The England U21 international was again particularly lively, having found himself getting more regular game-time for the first-team since Klopp's arrival, but said he was more pleased to get a "great" win and continue moving up the table.
