It was an uneventful weekend for Liverpool loanees across Europe as they continue to attempt to prove themselves worthy of a place in the first team at Melwood or merely get first team experience elsewhere. Here's how they did...

Premier League:

Tiago Ilori (Defender) - The young Portuguese continued his frustrating spell at Aston Villa where he failed to even make the bench as the relegation candidates drew Newcastle United 1-1 thanks to a Jordan Ayew wonder goal. Ilori cannot supposedly be recalled from his season long loan, news which comes at the worst time possible given Liverpool's current injury problems in defence, and Villa have an option to buy at the end of the season which they seem unlikely to exercise.

Andre Wisdom (Defender) - The Englishman failed to make the bench for Norwich City despite a good run of games following an injury to Steven Whittaker. Wisdom therefore missed out on the Canaries' famous 2-1 victory away at Manchester United.

English Championship:

Sheyi Ojo (Midfielder) - Ojo failed to make the bench for Wolverhampton Wanderer's mid-week 3-2 loss to Leeds United as well as Wolves' 4-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend. Ojo continue to cut a frustrated figure having started the season as a starter before being dropped to an impact sub and finally being dropped altogether recently, though he did play for Liverpool Under-21s in their 0-0 draw against Norwich - their final game of 2015 - on Monday night.

English League One:

Lawrence Vigouroux (Goalkeeper) - The Chilean played 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet in Swindon Town's 1-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town.

Jordan Williams (Defender) - The midfielder, who can also play in defence, has not made an appearance since  the end of September, having suffered with fluid around his knee. Manager Martin Ling has reportedly spoken about cutting his loan short come the January transfer window.

Kevin Stewart (Midfielder) - Stewart returned to training following a medial knee ligament injury back in September but wasn't fit enough to participate in Swindon's match at the weekend.

Ryan Kent (Midfielder) - The teenager played 70 minutes for Coventry City in a 1-1 draw with Oldham Athletic. He had three shots and although not scoring or assisting with any of them, continued to impress at the West Midlands club.

Lloyd Jones (Defender) - The English centre-back remains out till January with a knee injury. Prior to his injury he was a starter at the heart of defense for Blackpool. In his absence Blackpool defeated Peterborough United 2-0 at Bloomfield Road.

Scottish Premiership:

Ryan McLaughlin (Defender) - The Northern Irish right back failed to make the bench as Aberdeen thrashed Kilmarnock 4-0 to move within a point of leaders Celtic FC, having played one more game.

Danny Ward (Goalkeeper) - The Welsh goalkeeper played 90 minutes for second played Aberdeen and kept a clean sheet, making one save in an easy day at the office.

2. Bundesliga:

Taiwo Awoniyi (Forward) - The Nigerian didn't feature for FSV Frankurt as they fell at home 2-1 to Arminia Bielefeld. The 18 year old Nigerian U-23 international has endured a frustrating time in Frankfurt, making just two appearances so far this season.

Serie A:

Mario Balotelli (Forward) - The Italian international missed out with the flu, having just returned to training following hip surgery. He missed out on AC Milan's 4-2 thrashing of newly promoted Frosinone, as well as their 2-0 midweek victory at Sampdoria in the Copa Italia.

La Liga:

Luis Alberto (Midfielder) - The Spaniard played 62 minutes at forward for Deportivo La Coruña in a 2-0 victory over Eibar which puts them in 6th place, where if they can remain they'll earn a spot in the third qualifying round of the Europa League next season.  He had three shots and committed one foul. Alberto also played 77 minutes on the wing in Deportivo's midweek 1-1 draw with Llagostera in the Copa Del Rey, creating the assist for the goal as well as having four shots.

Turkish Super Lig:

Lazar Markovic (Midfielder) - The Serbian international played 76 minutes and assisted the winning goal for Fenerbahçe as the Turkish league leaders defeated Genclerbirligi 1-0.

Swiss Super League:

Samed Yesil (Forward) - The German U-20 international came off the bench in the 87th minute for Swiss side FC Luzern in a 4-3 victory at FC Aarau in the Quarter Finals of the Swiss Challenge Cup. Yesil picked up a yellow card.
