Liverpool are willing to offload reserve goalkeeper Adam Bogdan in a cut-price January deal, per reports in the Daily Mirror.

Bogdan only joined the Reds on a free transfer from Bolton Wanderers back in the summer, but there's been a managerial change since then, and it seems that the Hungarian isn't to new boss Jürgen Klopp's liking.

Bogdan has been ridiculed for costly errors

Whilst many number two 'keeper's face the pain of sitting on the bench all season, Bogdan has been given chances to stake his claim for regular football in Liverpool's goal.

Things started well, with him helping his team to a penalty shoot-out win over Carlisle United in the League Cup, before impressing against AFC Bournemouth in the next round.

However, when thrust into action in the Premier League, due to a Simon Mignolet injury, Bogdan had a shocker as the Reds were beaten 3-0 by Watford. Dropping the ball from a corner, allowing Nathan Ake to score, he never recovered and put in a horrendous performance.

His next chance came against Exeter City in the FA Cup, with another howler seeing Bogdan conceded directly from a corner, easily outmuscled as the ball flew straight into his net.

Ward recalled, Bogdan to go for a low fee

Liverpool's recalling of young 'keeper Danny Ward from Aberdeen earlier this week seemed to spell the end for Bogdan, especially when it was Ward who was named on the bench for Wednesday's game against Arsenal.

The Reds are reportedly willing to let Bogdan go for a low fee, with anything above or around £800,000 set to tempt them, given that he was signed at little cost.

There are few rumours currently as to where the experienced 'keeper may go, but the wise money may be on a move back to the Championship, with the Premier League seemingly a level too high for him.
