Unfortunately, that's all we've got time for. I've been Oliver Emmerson, and have a very good day.

That's it, all over in California as Liverpool register a comfortable 2-0 win over AC Milan thanks to second-half goals from Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino.

Full-time: Liverpool 2-0 AC Milan

87: Great save by Gabriel! Ojo bursts down the right again, his cross pushed out towards Firmino who shoots, with the 'keeper pushing it wide.

83: Bonaventura finds room on the left to angle a cross towards substitute Honda, but his looping header drops onto the roof of the net.

81: Randall gets an effort on target, prodding a weak effort towards goal as the ball drops to him from a corner.

76: Klavan, Lovren and Henderson off for Brannagan, Randall and Wisdom. It's quite the re-shuffle, Brannagan and Randall in midfield, whilst Kevin Stewart has dropped into central defence.

73: The second had been coming, and here it is. Markovic sent Ojo running with a brilliant pass, but Ojo had no right to get to the ball before Paletta, showing his blistering pace to get there first, before a cross is deflected towards Firmino, who taps in.

GOAL!! Firmino doubles Liverpool's lead!

71: Oh dear, poor officiating. Origi picks up the ball in the box, turning quickly before lashing it into the bottom corner, but the flag is up for offside against him, with replays showing that decision to be wrong. It should be 2-0.

69: Alberto Moreno's been very good since coming on at half-time. Starting with that assist for the goal, he's now just sent in a lovely cross towards Firmino and Origi, neither of whom can quite take advantage as it's bundled out for a corner.

62: Good chance for Niang as a superb Abate cross finds him, but he heads over after having done the hard work to get away from Lovren. Sheyi Ojo is on for Liverpool, replacing Milner.

60: Fantastic finish from Divock Origi, back amongst the goals just 15 minutes into pre-season for him! Alberto Moreno finds him with a fantastic pass in behind the defence, with Origi's great first touch setting him up to cut inside and curl the ball across goal into the bottom right hand corner.

GOAL! Origi puts Liverpool ahead!

57: A quiet start to the second half, possibly due to the amount of substitutions that took place. Stewart's in some pain for Liverpool, he took a kick to the knee from Kucka.

52: Clever play from Firmino as he takes a quick free-kick to Origi, whose cross just drops over Markovic's head, Clyne unable to get to the ball whilst it's still in a promising area.

45: Back underway! When will the first goal come?

A raft of half-time changes for Liverpool. Origi, Clyne, Firmino, Moreno, Markovic and Stewart on for Wijnaldum, Alexander-Arnold, Sturridge, Mane, Coutinho, Lallana.

Liverpool have definitely been the better side in the first half, dominating the game, creating the best chance when Sadio Mane was put through. He'll have been disappointed to miss that chance, as the Senegalese winger continues to search for his first Liverpool goal.

Half-time: Liverpool 0-0 AC Milan

45: Liverpool continue to press for an opener as half-time edges close, Alexander-Arnold with a good cross which just evades Sturridge.

41: What a chance! Big miss from Mane, as an Alexander-Arnold interception sets Liverpool off on the counter. Wijnaldum shifts it to Coutinho, who cuts the defence apart with a fantastic through ball for the winger, who strikes straight at Gabriel from close range.

40: Yellow card for Adam Lallana, for a pretty rubbish tackle on Antonelli, in layman's terms.

38: Oooh, there's a chance wasted there. Liverpool win the ball high up the pitch, presenting Mane and Sturridge with a two-on-one situation, but Mane overhits his pass, and by the time Sturridge gets it Milan have recovered numbers. The striker played it to Lallana, who curled a shot over.

34: Lovren dives in for a tackle prematurely and gets skipped around by Niang, who shoots wide from range.

33: AC Milan forced into a change, the injured Bertolacci off for Kucka.

32: Mignolet forced into something of a save as Lovren's clearance is charged down by Antonelli, but it's not a hard one for the Belgian to hold.

29: Half a chance for Sturridge as the ball breaks kindly for Wijnaldum, who again provides a good pass, but his right-footed effort is blocked.

28: Wijnaldum floats a lovely pass outside to Alexander-Arnold, Montolivo getting back well to clear the right-back's low cross before it could find a teammate.

26: A nice backheel from Sturridge finds Milner in a good shooting position, but he can't seem to get his body in the right position before being tackled.

21: Niang is down here for AC Milan. He completely sped past Lovren with his pace, attempting to go past Klavan with a roulette, but the Estonian defender times his challenge perfectly to win the ball.

20: Just less than halfway through this first half and it's been all Liverpool so far. They're still yet to force Gabriel into a save, though.

16: Liverpool racing up the pitch quickly with Lallana on the counter, Wijnaldum picks up the ball in the centre and sets up Sturridge, who has his first time shot blocked.

11: Nice work from the English side as they move the ball well in midfield, Sturridge eventually setting up Lallana who perhaps wrongly opts to cross rather than shoot, and it's blocked away.

10: For those wondering how Liverpool have set up, it's a 4-3-3 with Wijnaldum and Lallana either side of Henderson, who's the deepest of the three. Mane and Coutinho on the wings, Sturridge up front.

8: Liverpool nearly opened up as Montolivo chips a lovely ball over the top, but former Red Suso sees his touch let him down.

4: Abate involved at the other end of the pitch, surging down his right hand side before a low cross is jabbed away by Dejan Lovren.

2: Good start for Liverpool. Mane allowed far too much room on the right as he sends a teasing cross in for Coutinho, Abate just doing enough to stop the Brazilian from registering a shot on target.

0: We're off and underway!

Just 10 minutes until kick-off now! A big night for Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the 17-year-old looking to make his case to be Nathaniel Clyne's backup this season.

AC Milan XI: Gabriel, Abate, Vergara, Romagnoli Antonelli, Zanellato, Bertolacci, Montolivo, Suso, Niang, Adriano.

Daniel Sturridge makes his first start of pre-season, whilst there is a debut for Wijnaldum! Interestingly, it looks like James Milner will start at left-back, a position that Klopp could use him in this season. Read more about that, here. Divock Origi is on the bench too, he's yet to play in pre-season.

Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Klavan, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Mane, Coutinho, Sturridge.

Not long until we get that confirmed team news!

These two have only ever met twice in competitive action before, both in Champions League finals, quite a crazy statistic! There's the famous Istanbul final of 2005, when Liverpool stormed back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 and win on penalties, plus the lesser remembered 2007 final in Athens, when Milan won 2-1 to get their revenge.

Milan fans will certainly be looking forward to seeing more of 21-year-old forward M'Baye Niang, who scored against Bayern Munich in the 3-3 draw. He scored eight goals in 19 appearances for the Rossoneri last season, a very healty output indeed, and he'll be hoping to get into double figures on the scoring charts and make even more appearances in the coming season.

One man who won't play a part today is Loris Karius, after it was confirmed that the new Liverpool 'keeper broke his hand against Chelsea, possibly in an incident where he missed the ball and punched defender Dejan Lovren. It's come as a huge blow, as it's likely to keep the German out for around two months, meaning he'll miss the start of the Premier League season, which is now just two weeks away.

Liverpool were without a few key names for that game against Chelsea, including England international's Daniel Sturridge and Nathaniel Clyne. It's thought that at least one of them could play some part today, whilst new signing Georginio Wijnaldum is expected to make his debut, having signed from Newcastle United in the last week. The likes of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino are expected to start, whilst it's not yet known whether or not Emre Can is in contention for a place, having returned for pre-season training on Tuesday.

AC Milan have also played one game in the competition already, coming up against Bayern Munich just hours before Liverpool played Chelsea. They took part in a thrilling 3-3 draw with the Bundesliga side, as Franck Ribery scored in the last minute to take the game to a penalty shoot-out, which Milan won 5-3. That puts them on two points from one game, with Paris Saint-Germain at the top of the USA/Europe table, having won two out of two games in normal time so far.

Indeed, it's another early start for those back in the United Kingdom getting up to watch the Reds, having seen them play Chelsea at the same venue as today's game earlier this week, Thursday morning to be precise. Liverpool slipped to a 1-0 defeat due to Gary Cahill's first-half header in a fairly ill-tempered game, which saw Cesc Fabregas sent off for a reckless challenge on Ragnar Klavan. The Merseysiders found it difficult to break down a tough Chelsea backline after the Blues went ahead, so will be hoping to pick up their first points of the competition today.

Good morning everyone and welcome to VAVEL UK's live minute-by-minute commentary of today's International Champions Cup game between Liverpool and AC Milan. I'm Oliver Emmerson, and I'll be taking you through all of the action at the Levi Stadium, California, with kick-off set for 3;05AM UK time!
