Liverpool were double winners in September's Premier League awards as they were announced on Friday, with Jürgen Klopp and Jordan Henderson both scooping awards.

Klopp was given the Manager of the Month award for the first time during his reign, whilst captain Henderson was awarded with Goal of the Month for his strike in the 2-1 win over Chelsea on September 16.

The only disappointment was Adam Lallana losing out on the Player of the Month award, which was - in all fairness - deservingly taken by Tottenham Hotspur attacker Heung-Min Son.

100% month for Reds

Klopp took charge of three Premier League games during the month of September, less than the usual four or five due to the international break.

It was a hugely successful month for the Reds, as they came out with a 100% record having won all of their three games.

Liverpool started the month off with their first game of the season at Anfield, following the redevelopment of the Main Stand. It was certainly a welcome return, as they crushed champions Leicester City by four goals to one.

Henderson scores beauty against Blues

That was followed up with the game in which Henderson scored his award winning goal, the 2-1 win away to Chelsea. Dejan Lovren opened the scoring, before Henderson curled a beauty over Thiabut Courtois' head from 25 yards, having taken the ball down with a perfect first touch. Diego Costa would get one back for Chelsea in the second half, but it was to no avail.

Liverpool ended the month with another commanding home display, trouncing Hull City by five goals to one as they made it fourth win in all competitions, having seen off Derby County in the League Cup during that week, although the result didn't go towards Klopp winning this award.
