According to the Express, Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester City have sent scouts to monitor Celtic's Virgil van Dijk. The defender, who was signed for just £1.6m from FC Groningen last summer, has impressed for the Hoops this season and has been tipped by current boss Neil Lennon for a World Cup place in Louis van Gaal's Netherlands squad. However, with cash at their disposal, the Glaswegian side are not expected to sell so easily.

After seeing top striker Giuseppe Rossi pick up a serious knee injury in his side's 1-0 win over Livorno on Monday, Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella has not ruled out a loan move for former Viola favourite Stevan Jovetić according to Goal.com. The Montenegrin has made just 5 appearances for the blues since his summer move and continues to struggle with injury.
