Below are the Manchester City player ratings from tonight's game, as they comfortably beat Liverpool 3-1 thanks to a brace from Stevan Jovetic and a goal from substitute Sergio Aguero

Hart - 6/10. Unlucky not to keep a clean sheet, conceding late on to an own goal from Zabaleta with 7 minutes plus stoppages to play. Did well to stop Sturridge upon occasion.

Demichelis - 6/10. Did well not to make any real noticeable mistakes as he communicated well with his team-mates to ensure that his distinct lack of pace was not a problem as Liverpool could not break through as much as they would have hoped.

Kompany - 6/10. Strong and commanding at the back as always, the only real complaint you could have with the Belgian centre-back is that he struggled to get tight enough to Sturridge, who was able to weave past him with his quick accelaration. Apart from that, overall decent.

Zabaleta - 7.5/10. The Argentine had a splendid game and was solid defensively as well as looking dangerous going forward on the attack. The only blemish on his performance was the own goal towards the end, which was harshly credited to his name.

Clichy - 6/10. Did his job at full-back to slow down the blistering pace of Sterling on the flank, as the young English forward was unable to stand his authority on the game.

Y. Touré - 5.5/10. Was not as influential in the match as Fernando was in truth, ball retention was poor and he did not go on any of the lung-busting runs that he is seen doing regularly.

Silva - 6/10. Not really involved in the game as much as he would have liked to, but he still weaved his magic when he got the ball at his feet, always looking for a team-mate in space to pass to.

Nasri - 7/10. Bright on the ball, did well to help contribute and create an assist for Jovetic's second of the night as he was always hungry for the ball at his feet.

Fernando - 7.5/10. Slotted in perfectly alongside Touré in midfield, a rock solid machine who did well to cover the defence and break up play when needed.

Dzeko - 6.5/10. Did well up-top alongside Jovetic, but did not create any chances of his own and left it up to his team-mate to finish in style.

Jovetic - 8/10. Scored a brace as he ran riot on the Liverpool defence, combining well with the rest of his team-mates which will make the supporters feel as though they've got a new signing in the striker.

Subs:

Navas - 7/10. Replaced Silva mid-way through the second-half and delivered a wonder pass for Aguero's finish.

Fernandinho - N/A. Came on with just 10 minutes to go and did not see much of the ball, therefore unable to give a fair rating.

Aguero - 7.5/10. Subbed on for Dzeko, and made an instant impact upon the game within seconds to make it 3-0 with a tidy finish past Mignolet. Not fully fit to play 90 minutes as of yet, but his presence brought attacking flair and pace to the game, which an already-tired Liverpool side struggled to handle.
