Micah Richards has landed in Florence ahead of a potential move to Fiorentina.
The Guardian report that the 26-year-old is expected to sign a loan deal with the Italian club, which could be turned into a permanent transfer next summer. Richards is Manchester City's longest serving player, having been at the club for 13 years.
The defender reluctantly refused to sign a new contract with the Premier League champions earlier this summer after accepting his place behind Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna in the club's pecking order.
Sunderland and West Ham United were also linked with the former England full-back, but were put off by his high wages.
