Manchester City's £30million pound striker Wilfried Bony has admitted that The Citzens may not see the best of him until next season, as he is still trying to settle into his surroundings at The Ethiad Stadium. The Ivorian forward joined the club in the January transfer window from Swansea City, and has only scored one goal in five Premier League appearances so far; coming against West Bromwich Albion in a 3-0 home win.

Bony was on international duty with Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations until mid-February, and injuries have been a hinderance to his City career so far, meaning he's been frustrated - watching on the sidelines. The 26-year-old was in impressive goal-scoring form for the Welsh side before his January move as well as his involvement with the national side; twelve goals and five assists does not sound like a lot, but the majority of games he has played since the new year have been in bit-part roles and cameo appearances.

Talking to the Daily Mirror, Bony had this to say: "Yes it's been very frustrating, first because of injury and second because we are not winning games. No-one expects you to be 100 per cent in the first few weeks, I'm working very hard to get it back. It's not coming as I would have expected and I'm not 100% yet but I hope to get quicker and score more. I still want to do something this season, but next season I will be very good.
