Yaya Tourè is pivotal.

Yaya Tourè is influential to City. there's no denying that when he came off at half-time due to injury City lost control of the midfield, It is also no coincidence that City have yet to win a game without their Ivorian talisman in the Premier League this season. It is true that Tourè hasn't been at his marauding best this year but his importance to City can not be understated.

City looked stale, overhaul needed.

City, once again, didn't show the usual swagger and quality that we are used to, even the magician David Silva looked bereft of ideas which is very rarely the case at the Etihad. There is a severe lack of energy and youthfulness in this ageing City team and a major overhaul is needed. It seems the City hierarchy have noticed this as rumoured targets Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne can give City the spark they need.

Joe Hart still looks shaky.

For Villa's two goals, fingers can be pointed at Joe Hart. The England No.1 was caught in no man's land for Villa's first and wasn't able to clear the ball for Carlos Sanchez's equaliser. This isn't the first time Hart has been the culprit for a goal conceded, he was also caught flapping against Everton at Goodison Park which cost City the three points. City's No.1 has been dropped in the past for poor form under Pellegrini and if this trend continues then serious question may be asked of Joe Hart once again.

Atmosphere.

The atmosphere at the Etihad was very quiet, this could explain City's bland performance. The City faithful need to get behind the team which would no doubt improve the performances. City are often ridiculed for having empty seats despite last seasons average attendance of 47,080 which would mean that the stadium is 98.5% full.

Villa will stay up.

Villa will stay up. The Villains are only two points clear of the relegation zone but going off their performance at the Etihad, they have enough quality, fight, passion and determination to stay up. Tim Sherwood has kickstarted Christian Benteke's career as the Belgian has nine goals in eight games after previously going nine games without a goal and I'm sure his goals will keep Aston Villa up.
