Sergio Aguero continued his excellent record of scoring at White Hart Lane to hand Manchester City a solid 1-0 away victory against Tottenham on Saturday. The result put City up to 2nd in the league and cast aside doubts about not qualifying for next season's Champions League, but how did each player do individually? Let's take a closer look, and give each of them a rating out of 10.

Joe Hart: Man Of The Match. City normally enjoy total dominance at White Hart Lane, but that wasn't the case on Sunday as a barrage of Tottenham attacks rained upon the Citizens goal. Despite this, Hart was equal to all of them as England's number one made a string of fine saves on his way to his 12th league clean sheet of the season. Not only in defence was he brilliant, his quick thinking set Silva free from his throw to counter attack for City's goal. 9

Pablo Zabaleta: A quiet game for Zabaleta as he went about his defensive duties fairly well, whilst offering his usual threat on the overlap when going forward. His pace was brought into question by some quick Spurs cunter attacks, but his excellent reading of the game made up for it. 6

Martin Demichelis: Keeping Harry Kane quiet is a task that few centre-backs have managed this season, but Demichelis can count himself part of that narrow list. Not allowing the in-form Englishman any time nor space, Demichelis put in a good performance and was a big part of City getting the clean sheet. 6

Eliaquim Mangala: Vincent Kompany's injury is likely to give Mangala a consistent run in the starting 11 up until the end of the season, and those upcoming games alongside Demichelis might be extremely useful in the long term for the Frenchman. Kept on a tight leash by the organised Argentinian, Mangala put in a better than expected shift against Tottenham and will be hoping to build on that as he enters the final few games of the season. 6

Aleksandar Kolarov: Similarly to Zabaleta, the Serbian didn't exactly have a headline making game, but wasn't poor by any stretch of the imagination. Venturing forward on ocassion, his 40 yard piledriver forced Hugo Lloris into a parried save in the Tottenham goal. 6

Fernando: The defenive midfielder has been accused of not adding much to City's team at times this season however that couldn't be said about his performance - Spurs. Time and time again he was the first line of defence for his side, halting home attacks before they had begun. When on the ball himself, he kept it simple and efficent, allowing the more creative players around him to prosper. 7

Fernandinho: Missed two good chances to score from the edge of the box in the first-half, but was good elsewhere. Not his most creative of performances, but the Brazilian did what was required to break up Spurs' attacks and offer another option further up the pitch. 6

Frank Lampard: In possibly his last start for City before he goes to America, Lampard didn't enjoy a great game. He's so often excelled as an impact sub in games this season, and never looked quite as good when played from the start. His excellent timing of runs was on display as usual, but he struggled to link the play when recieving the ball to feet. 5

James Milner: Given his recent form, it was a surprise to see Milner's name on the teamsheet but as the match you could see why he was required. Tracking the marauding Danny Rose was the order of the day and the versatile Englishman complied, doing a sound job on the right flank. 6

David Silva: The Spaniard makes everything look so easy when he plays, and he was at it again on Sunday as his amazing pass sent Aguero through on goal to make it 1-0. Calm and composed on the ball, Silva looks a star whenever he plays and it was no different this time around. 7

Sergio Aguero: City's matchwinner took another step closer to the Golden Boot with his 22nd league goal of the season. He should have had a penalty for a trip from Ben Davies, and shot wide after rounding Lloris, but finally opened the scoring after Silva's pass unlocked the Spurs defence. A fine finish from a fine player, Aguero was once again Tottenham's kryptonite. 8
