Manchester City are the only Premier League club to have enquired about the availability of Monaco's defensive midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to the France international's agent.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to both Arsenal and Manchester United in the past few months, but Jonathan Benbaron, Kondogbia's agent, insists that City are the sole English team that have expressed an actual interest in the talented midfielder's signature - as opposed to transfer speculation linking him with various clubs. Serie A duo Juventus and Inter Milan are also reportedly scouting Geoffrey, who starred as Monaco reached the quarter-finals of this season's Champions League competition for the first time in over a decade.

Benbaron had this to say: "The player appeals to a lot of clubs around Europe, in addition to interest from Inter, there's also Juventus, Manchester City and Real Madrid. A lot of teams have contacted us, but I can't reveal how far along the various talks are. Will he leave this summer? Everything is possible in football.

If Kondogbia were to leave the Ligue 1 outfit this summer, they'd be reluctant to let him go without a fight, meaning that potential suitors such as Manuel Pellegrini's men, who are looking for a long-term replacement for the experienced Yaya Touré, would have to spend in excess of £25million pounds for Monaco to consider their offer.
