Carlos Tévez had many up and downs during his time at Manchester City but he was considered one of the most prolific and dangerous forwards in the league during his three years at the Etihad and was one major faces that fronted the Sheikh revolution.

But what has happened to the Argentine since his departure in 2013? Here is a look back at Tévez’s early years in England, his time at City and what he has been up to since his departure:

It was humble beginnings for Tévez beginning his career with Boca Juniors before moving onto Corinthians for a single season, Tévez and his fellow Argentine team-mate Javier Mascherano were considered two of the world’s bright young talents.

Their signatures were sought after by many of the top European clubs in the 2006 summer transfer window but both shocked the world when they moved to Upton Park signing for West Ham United on permanent deals.

Disputes over the transfers carried on the majority with West Ham eventually been fined £5.5million pounds as a result. Tévez permanently etched himself into Hammer’s folk law in his single season with his goal in the 1-0 victory over Manchester United on the final day of the 2006-07 season securing the Hammers' top flight status.

His end-of-season heroics for the London club earned him a transfer to Old Trafford with United signing him on a two-year loan deal. He had great first season under Sir Alex Ferguson scoring 19 goals in 48 appearances aswell as winning the league and Champions League double.

The second season was a different case with the dispute whether to sign the Argentine on a permanent basis and in the summer of 2009 he made the unforgivable move across to Manchester to bitter rivals City the first player to do so since Terry Cooke in 1999.

He had a great first season in Eastlands scoring an impressive 29 goals in 42 appearances earning him the Etihad player and player’s player of the year awards. Problems began to arise in late 2010 when he handed a transfer request but was withdrew days later and he went onto score 23 goals in 44 appearances and also collected a FA Cup winners medal.

The 2010-11 season is where the Argentine’s career at the Etihad really took a drastic fall, there was the infamous in Munich which all but ended his career after he apparently refused to come off the substitute’s bench in a Champions League group match with Bayern with manager Mancini stating he wouldn’t play for the club.

That conflict ultimately saw that he was put on garden leave instructing him to stay away from the training ground and would only be allowed to play international matches, without failing to secure a move away in January and returned to training in February 2012.

After stating his deepest apologies he returned to first team action in the 2-1 victory over Chelsea and he proved crucial in the title run-in to help secure City’s first Premier League title. The next and final season was a quiet one for the Argentine and after 148 appearances in 73 goals over his five years he decided to move on.

Many of Europe’s major clubs were itching for his signature but in June 2013 he signed up to Italian giants Juventus, his debut season in Turin was quite a success finishing the clubs top scorer with 21 goals and won player of the season aswell as his first Serie A title.

This season he continued his goal scoring form gathering up a total of 20 strikes along with another Scudetto title, he was also crucial in the Juventus’ run to the Champions League final but they unfortunately couldn’t go the full distance with Barcelona proving too strong.

Tevez has further established himself as one of the most prolific strikers on the continent and with rumours that he will move from Italy this summer with a possible move back to the Premier League on the cards, Tevez can make a big difference to any side that nay go to.
