14:14 - Hello everyone I am Danial Kennedy and welcome to the live commentary of Manchester City's match with Watford

The odds seem to be stacked against the visitors but Flores believes that “anything is possible” ahead of their trip to Manchester.

Flores also said it is incredibly “important” to prepare a good “plan” and good “strategy” with the idea to be “competitive”.

He was “happy” with their results and are in a “good positon” in the table but they believe that their approach “won’t change” against their tough opponents.

Despite their excellent start to the season, Pellegrini will hope that his side will learn from their failure to win the title last season.

Pellegrini has said it is “only August” and it is “important” to keep “playing, working and thinking” in the same way they have so far.

He said that they “lost points” against sides that were “fighting” relegation and he believes that the games that they have played so far, they have seemed to have “learned their lessons”.

It is City who have the edge when it comes to the past meetings between the clubs winning eight of their 19 clashes.

The last meeting between the two was quite a dramatic one back in the 2013/14 season, they faced-off against  each other in the FA Cup and City were given a shock when they fell behind to the Hornets.

They managed to fight back to win the tie 4-2, however away supporters won’t hold onto much hope with their last victory away to the blues coming 28 years ago.

Fernando and Pablo Zabaleta both remain on the side-lines for City with groin and knee injuries respectively.

Nicolas Otamendi could be given his debut in a City shirt after his move from La Liga side Valencia but Pellegrini might decide to keep his defender settled after their excellent performances so far.

Miguel Britos is suspended for the visitors after he was dismissed in midweek but despite his absence, there is no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to Manchester.

It has been a stuttering, but solid start for Watford on their return to top flight English football with three stalemates so far in this campaign against EvertonWest Brom and Southampton respectively.

They will be able to focus solely on avoiding the drop back down to the second tier having exited the Capital One Cup at the second round stage with defeat to Sky Bet Championship side Preston North End midweek.

Quique Flores’ side have been solid so far in the campaign conceding just twice so far, however, they will be hoping that they can improve on the opposite end of the field having just found the net on two occasions.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping that his side can make four wins on the bounce on Saturday to keep their perfect record ahead of the international break.

They currently sit two points clear at the top of the Premier League scoring eight goals along the way in their convincing victories over West Brom, Chelsea and Everton.

Goals from Aleksandar Kolarov and Samir Nasri not only gave them a 2-0 victory over Goodison Park but their ninth straight victory in the league which stretched back from the end of last campaign which has equalled a club record that had stood for over a century.

The good news has also trickled to off the pitch as reports suggest that they are close to securing a deal for Wolfsburg’s Kevin de Bruyne, City have been pursuing a deal for the Belgian for the majority of the summer and it does seem that a deal is close to completion believed to be worth around £59m.

Manchester City will be looking to continue their perfect start to the campaign when they host league new boys Watford at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
