Manuel Pellegrini's men have failed to win their last three out of four matches in all competitions, losing twice in the Premier League to West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur respectively and in the first match of the new UEFA Champions League campaign against Juventus FC at home just two weeks ago. With that, the Chilean and his side are under enormous pressure to perform well and gets points against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Current form

As stated previously, Manchester City are without a win in three of their last four matches and will surely need to get some points, if not all at Borussia-Park tomorrow evening. They currently sit second in the league, one point behind their bitter rivals, Manchester United.

The German side on the other hand are not doing well in the league, despite their third place finish last year in the Bundesliga. They currently sit 14th in the league, having been in the relegation zone for the majority of the star of the season and ever since their 3-0 loss to Sevilla on the opening day of the Champions League, they have won two or their last three, against 1. FC Köln and FC Augsburg respectively.

Must win for both sides

The key players for both teams are both Lars Stindl and Sergio Agüero. The top goalscorer for the club against a player who hasn't been having the best of starts so far in the league so the Argentine will definitely need to score to help his side continue to do well in the Champions League.

Team news

The Chilean has stated that Gael ClichyEliaquim Mangala, captain Vincent Kompany, Fabian Delph, Samir Nasri and Wilfried Bony are all not fit and will not play tomorrow night in Germany. The only key player at is out for the home side is Martin Stranzl.

Predicted Lineups

Managers thoughts
