Manchester City host Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, and they will be hoping to prevent a first win of the season for the visitors.

City are not in the best form themselves, and come into this game on the back of a 4-1 loss in their last league game against Tottenham Hostpur, although they did get back to winning ways with a hard-fought win against Borussia Monchengladbach in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

Newcastle come into the game in good spirit after a valiant display against Chelsea in last-week's 2-2 draw. We take a look at the five players most likely to cause a threat to City during the game...

 5. Aleksandar Mitrovic

The young Serbian striker arrived in the summer from Anderlecht with a big price tag - £13million to be exact - and found controversy in his first couple of appearances, with two bookings in his first two games and a red card against Arsenal at the start of September ensuring a poor disciplinary record.

He is still waiting for his first Premier League goal, but has shown signs of being dangerous. An obvious example of this is his header from the edge of the box at Old Trafford striking the bar and denying Newcastle a victory over Manchester United.

His goal record for Anderlecht speaks for itself, with the 21-year-old bagging 36 goals in 69 appearances in the Belgian Pro League, and he will look to ignite his season. His aerial prescense will certainly be a threat for City's under-fire defence.

4. Ayoze Perez

The Spaniard had an impressive debut season last year, and while he isn't as prolific as he could be, he is showing the signs and potential to be a star on Tyneside.

He opened the scoring against Chelsea last weekend, and his pace and trickery will be a useful weapon for Newcastle on the counter attack on Saturday afternoon.

He is still only 22, and has the time to become a great player, but will need to improve his scoring record of eight league goals in 38 appearances, but is also a threat creatively, as he likes to drift wide.

3. Rolando Aarons

The young winger is no stranger to pulling off upsets at the Etihad Stadium, as he was on the scoresheet in a Capital One Cup victory in October 2014, adding the first in a 2-0 win.

There are high hopes for Aarons, 19,  at St. James' Park, and he has already represented England at Under-20 level.

The tricky winger has been injured in recent weeks, and only has five league appearances to his name, but he will be hoping to be given the chance by Steve McLaren to repeat history at the weekend.

2. Georginio Wiljnaldum

The summer acquisition from PSV Eindhoven joined the Magpies as a Champion, winning the Eridivisie with his former club last season as an integral member of the team.

He doubled his tally for the season last weekend, heading in a corner to open up a two-nil lead against Chelsea, adding to another headed goal on the opening game against Southampton.

He will be hoping he can transfer his performances in Holland to the Premier League on a more consistent basis, but is likely to pose a threat to Martin Demichelis and Nicholas Otamendi as they have struggled to impose themselves on recent fixtures.

1. Moussa Sissoko

From an outside perspective - and maybe Newcastle fans may disagree with me - Moussa Sissoko is arguably one of the most important players for the club.

When he's on his game, he is hard to stop, with his Yaya Toure-esque surges from midfield and eye for a goal, and he adds a physical presence to the visitors' attack.

He can go missing in games but City will be sure to keep and eye on him for the duration of the match, as he can make things happen. Newcastle will need him on song if they hope to achieve anything in Manchester.
