Serbian international, Nemanja Vidic has told Manchester United the he will leave the club at the end of the season.

Vidic, 32, is expected to see out the remainder of his contract with the club at the end of the season and move on the Bosman rule as a costless agent.

In a statement released by the player to the club’s website, Vidic revealed that he doesn’t plan to stay in England once his contract finishes.

“Ihave decided that I will move on at the end of this season. I want to challenge myself again and try to make the best of myself in the coming years”

“I’m not considering staying in England as the only club I ever wanted to play for here is Manchester United and I was lucky enough to be part of this club for so many years. I’ve got a few options to move on and I will choose the right one for me and for my family”

Vidic has enjoyed his stay at United winning a total of 15 trophies including the iconic 20th EPL title last season as he captained the team to glory under former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.

He arrived Old Trafford from Spartak Moscow in December of 2005 for £7 million but he now feels he needs a different challenge.

"I want to challenge myself again and try to make the best of myself in the coming years” he said.

Vidic won a total of 15 trophies with Manchester United including the UEFA Champions league he won in 2008 when they defeated Chelsea in Moscow.
