Manchester United winger Nani is set to leave Old Trafford in the summer a year after signing a five-year contract with the club. His agent confirmed the Portuguese international is set to play elsewhere next season with several clubs interested.

It's been reported that David Moyes is set to rebuild his squad in the summer offloading eight players including Nani. The manager wants to usher a new era at Old Trafford by bringing in long-term replacements and the winger isn't part of his plans.

The player was linked to leave the club last season but struggled to move with his wages a stumbling block for interested suitors. Zenit even announced that Nani had 'unreal' wage demands. After David Moyes joined he handed the player a lengthy contract extension increasing his wages by £95,000-a-week reportedly.

His agent Andrea Pastorello admitted his client is likely to leave Manchester United this summer with several Italian clubs interested including Fiorentina.

Nani is a very important player and at this time the only thing I can say is that he is likely to leave Manchester. The problem for Fiorentina and other Italian clubs is the player’s salary. But we will evaluate all bids.

Our relationship with United is great. Fiorentina have to speak with Manchester United about Anderson and maybe there will be an opportunity to talk about Nani, too.
Nani appeared 11 times this season suffering a hamstring injury keeping him out for three months. He returned recently in the 4-0 victory over Newcastle on Saturday.
