Valencia have offered Adil Rami to Manchester United for £10m after a proposed move to AC Milan stalled.
The 28-year-old, who has spent the second half of the season out on loan at Milan, was set to move to the Italian club but the clubs have failed to agree on a £10m fee.
Manchester United are need of a central defender with Nemanja Vidic departing to Inter Milan.
Rami has 26 caps for the French national team and he is expected to go to the World Cup this summer.
