71'. United sub: Radamel Falcao ON. Juan Mata OFF.

62'. There's subs warming up for each side on the touch line, expect changes soon.

The teams are back out onto the pitch and as expected Fellaini comes on in place of Herrera who perhaps is still suffering from his rib injury.

Marouane Fellaini is readying up to come on for United for the second half

Half summary: Each side have had an equal number of shots with five apiece but it's United who have had more shots on target with three. United have had 60% of the possession.

United saw more of the ball over the first half but the half belongs to West Brom who were looking a lot more organised on the ball when they had it.

HALF TIME: West Brom 1-0 Manchester United

26'. Lovely touch from Herrera allows Di Maria to swing a cross in to...nobody.

24'. Morrison swings one to the back post but the outstretched Berahino still couldn't get the important touch to send it past de Gea

22'. van Persie reacts fast and almost gets the better of Dawson ( who is playing a blinder I must add ) but the defender recovers well.

20'. Sloppy play again from United see's the ball go out for a goal kick. They appeared to be mounting a semi-decent attack despite calls from the hosts for offside.

18'. Yet another long ball from United. This one finds Di Maria who takes a touch and shoots on the turn with no success.

17'. Jones sends it long towards van Persie but Craig Dawson intercepts.

16'. Lescott is there to deal with a Di Maria delivery and the former City defender sends it out for another United corner.

13'. United are struggling to get past West Brom who have dropped deep following their goal.

8'. Wisdom plays to the edge of the box where Sessegnon is lurking to smash home past De Gea. Superb finish! United on the back foot already.

GOAL WEST BROM!!!

5'. It's been all West Brom in the opening five. Sessegnon was just inches away from slotting in in-form Berahino following a sloppy United clearance

4'. Januzaj isn't fooled by Pocognoli's trickery as he carries out his defensive duties well in the early exchanges.

18:50. Just over an hour until kick off. Be sure to stay tuned for the live build-up of the game including the lineups from 19:00BST.

18:30. West Brom Dangerman: Saido Berahino.

The England U21 International has been in fine form this term with five goals in seven Barclays Premier League appearances. Berahino's form has sparked interest from sides up the top end of the league with Spurs said to be in the driving seat. Alan Irvine has attempted to dishearten teams by slapping a £15 million price tag on his new found targetman.

18:25. Manchester United Dangerman: Angel Di Maria.

The British record summer signing has started his time in a Manchester United jersey quite brilliantly with three goals and three assists in his five appearances. In between his first and second United games, the twenty-six year old put in a man of the match performance in an international friendly against Germany, scoring once and assisting three times.

18:20. United have won four of the last five meetings between the sides at the Hawthorns with the other match being a crazy 5-5 draw in Sir Alex Ferguson's swan song game.

United won the last meeting 3-0 in March this year. Phil Jones opened the scoring, Wayne Rooney made it two before recently departed Danny Welbeck made it 3-0 in the final ten minutes.

18:15. Potential Manchester United lineup ( 442 diamond ): De Gea; Shaw, Rojo, Blackett, Rafael; Blind, Di Maria, Herrera, Mata; Van Persie, Falcao

18:10. Potential West Brom lineup ( 442 ): Foster; Gamboa, Lescott, Dawson, Pocognoli; Gardner, Morrison, Dorrans, Sessegnon; Ideye, Berahino

18:05. United are no better as they have four injuries within the squad. Teen defender Paddy McNair, Antonio Valencia, Jonny Evans and Jesse Lingard are all confirmed as out by Van Gaal himself.

Midfielder Michael Carrick returned to training this week but LVG expects this game to come too soon for the England international.

Club captain Wayne Rooney will also play no part as he continues to serve his three match suspension following his red card against West Ham.

Van Gaal also said Herrera may return although "He ( Herrera )  could play in a corset," Van Gaal told MUTV.

18:00. West Brom aren't faced with a clean bill of health with a minimum of two definitely out. Chris Brunt is 50/50 to play as he battles a groin injury. Midfielder, Claudio Yacob has returned to Argentina on compassionate leave and Irvine will also be without Portuguese winger Silvestre Varela.

Speaking on Brunt, Irvine said "He was the only one who came back with a problem but we're hopeful. He came back early and fortunately that gave us time to work with him."

17:50. West Brom coach Alan Irvine was in high praise of young striker Saido Berahino in his pre-match press conference; He's flying at the moment," Irvine added. "He's feeling good about himself and in a great place.

"For England to go and win as comfortably as they did was credit to him and the team

"He now has a chance to play in the finals and that will be good for him. If he keeps going the way he is he will gather momentum. Saido is going in the right direction for us and for England."

17:45. Here's your pre-match reading: VAVEL's preview of the game.

17:40. United find themselves currently occupying sixth spot, two points adrift of fourth placed West Ham. West Brom however sit in fifteenth, a huge 4-0 win for the hosts would see them draw level with United on both points and goal difference.
West Brom - Manchester United

17:35. United ring leader, Louis Van Gaal had the following to say during the pre-match press conference; "West Bromwich Albion are difficult to beat, also at home. They play not only long balls but can play a possession game so it's not easy to beat. There's no club in the Premier League that is easy to beat. That's the difference from other leagues I think."

17:30. Refereeing tonight's tie is 46 year old Mike Dean. Dean has been a Premier League referee since 2000 and he has also officiated in European competitions as well as International competitions. Last season he averaged 3.58 yellow cards per game.

Dean is remembered perhaps rather infamously by United for the Old Trafford Controversy in the 2009/10 season where he and his assistant were criticised for turning down four penalty appeals ( three of which United's ) and making a number of dodgy goal decisions in the "title decider" against Chelsea.

17:25. Manchester United, on the other hand, have won three of their last five and are currently on a two game win streak following two 2-1 home wins against West Ham and Everton respectively. Their other victory was a 4-0 hammering of Queens Park Rangers also at home.

17:20. West Brom have won two of their last five encounters in the premier league. One of which was a narrow 1-0 away victory over European chasing Tottenham Hotspur and the other a 4-0 home victory at home to basement boys Burnley.

17:10. Tonights game will see West Brom host Manchester United at The Hawthorns, in Birmingham. The Hawthorns has been home to West Brom since 1900 and is now a 27,000 all seater capacity stadium.

In 2002 the Hawthorns was the first stadium to install big screens in the widescreen format.

Travelling United fans will be housed in the Smethwick End. Away fans are traditionally only allocated a section of the 5200 capacity stand while the other section is occupied by West Brom's most vocal fans.

17:00. Hello and welcome to VAVEL's LIVE coverage of West Brom versus Manchester United, in the the eighth matchday of the Barclays Premier League for each side; with match commentary coming from me, Cammy Anderson. Kick-off is scheduled for 20:00BST.
