Manchester United have reportedly offered Norwegian sensation Edvard Sandvik Tagseth a trial at Carrington, according to local newspaper Trønder-Avisa.

The 14-year-old recently featured at Everton in a trial spell, and managed to score the winning goal in a youth cup game against the Red Devils, but will now turn his attention to a variety of options as he looks set to make a switch to the Premier League.

The current Nesek FK youth player is expected to enjoy another spell with the Toffees, while also featuring on a five-day trial with United, before six days in the blue half of Manchester alongside his father Tore Tagseth.

Tagseth’s uncle Øyvind Sandvik spoke to Norwegian news outlet Trønder-Avisa, saying, “It is extremely exciting, these trials are mostly about seeing what the actual clubs have to offer.”

His uncle has seemingly played an influential role in securing the trials for the youngster, and he is expected to join the father and son in the trips to England.

The news follows shortly after Real Madrid secured the signature of Martin Odegaard; who was linked to a number of top European clubs including Manchester United.

In wake of the upcoming trials, Tagseth is expected to feature for the Under-16’s and Under-19’s of the fourth tier Norwegian side, occasionally visiting Rosenborg.
