Another day, another sloppy Manchester United performance.  The visitors stuck just under half an hour after a wonderful team move which was put away by Ander Herrera, but the lead was shortlived as in under two minutes, Ki Sung-Yueng scored off a wonderful cross by Jonjo Shelvey.  In the second half, United was dominating play in looking for the go-ahead goal, but the Swans were actually the ones who found it against the run of play. With just about fifteen to play, Shelvey decides to give it a go from distance and his shot was deflected by Gomis sending the ball past De Gea into the back of the net sending the Liberty Stadium into a frenzy and giving the hosts the full three points.

A couple of team changes were made for both sides.  For Manchester United, Radamel Falcao was demoted to the bench to make way for Wayne Rooney at striker with Robin van Persie.  Also, Paddy McNair made only his third career start at rightback, and Chris Smalling made way for Phil Jones to get back into the starting eleven.

For Swansea, the return of Gylfi Sigurdsson from suspension saw him back into the starting linup, and Wayne Routledge was also put back in for Jefferson Montero.

Swansea came up with the best chances early on as just six minutes in, the Swans' corner was beautifully touched by a Gomis diving header, but Ander Herrera cleared it off the line which goal-line technology confirmed it was not a goal. In the ensuing ten minutes, Gomis just put a header over which he should have put on target, and a nice move between Gomis, Taylor and Routledge saw Routledge's shot right at De Gea.

Manchester United conjoured up some chances after that but none troubled Fabianski.  The visitors broke the deadlock just under half an hour with a wonderful team goal. Luke Shaw started it with a run down the left-hand side, found Di Maria, who found Fellaini sending it back to Shaw who continued his run, sent the low ball to Rooney, then onto Di Maria, and finally to Herrera who guided his shot to the far post which mat have taken a deflection off Swans captain Ashley Williams.  This was Herrera's sixth goal in six starts truly justifying his spot in the side.

However, the lead would last all of under two minutes as Swansea pegged it back after a throw-in which Shelvey sent into the six-yard box for Ki to put home.  This was Ki's second goal of the season against United as he was the man who put the winner in the back of the net at Old Trafford.

Not many chances were made after the two goals as sloppy play between both sides resulted in many midfield turnovers.  To end the half, Marouane Fellaini was booked for an accumulation of fouls on Jack Cork much to the delight of the home faithful.

At halftime, United brought on Antonio Valencia for Paddy McNair as the young Northern Irishman was struggling. In under five minutes after the start of the half, Swansea nearly took the lead with identically the same play that gave tied the game, but Ki's shot just went wide.

The Red Devils would get the next best chance as Young, who would just come on for Luke Shaw, sent in a cross for Rooney who laid it off to van Persie but his shot would just blaze wide.  It would be another ten minutes for either team to get another opportunity, and it was United who would get it, but Rooney's shot was blocked by Kyle Naughton preventing the Red Devils from taking the lead.

Against the run of play, Swansea went on the attack and long-shot specialist Jonjo Shelvey let it rip from distance, but Gomis would get a deflection on it to give Swansea the lead.  After the goal, Sigurdsson would come off for Montero, and five minutes later United would bring on Juan Mata for Angel Di Maria.  In the final ten minutes, things would get chippy between both sides as three of the four yellow cards picked up in the final ten minutes were given out in a three-minute span.

United would try for an equalizer, but Fabianski was brilliant all day catching anything that came within his sight.  After four minutes of added time, the final whistle blew giving Swansea a historic double over the Red Devils.  At the end of the day, Manchester United are in fourth place on 47 points, and Swansea are in ninth on 37 points.
