Manchester United prospect Andreas Pereira has entered talks with Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven, ahead of a possible return to his former club.

With the Brazilian’s contract at the Theatre of Dreams expiring in the summer, he has already rejected one deal in his fourth season with the Red Devils.

Reports have suggested the 19-year-old is despondent with manager Louis van Gaal’s plans, and a departure from the Champions League hopefuls looks imminent.

Feyenoord, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with a move for the youngster – who represented Belgium as a teenager – although his father is adamant a deal could be struck with Phillip Cocu’s men in the near future.

“It is true that we talk to PSV,” he said. “PSV have contacted our representatives. The intention is that they will soon go to the table with PSV.”

Despite the uncertainty over his future, Pereira has progressed considerably in Warren Joyce’s side this season.

Recently netting against Chelsea for the Under-21’s, the attacking midfielder has been ever-present in the youth set-up throughout the campaign.

Andreas Pereira made his senior debut in a 4-0 defeat to MK Dons in the Capital One Cup this season.
