Tom Cleverley, Manchester United midfielder, is set to be offered a permanent deal at Aston Villa where he is currently on loan.

The Englishman's contract at United runs out in July and is definitely on his way out of the club. Now, according to the Telegraph, he will be offered a long-term deal at Aston Villa by manager Tim Sherwood.

Sherwood sees Cleverley as an integral part of his plans to rebuild Aston Villa after years of disappointing performances in the league from the Birmingham club.

Everton were rumoured to be strongly interested in the United midfielder but after going on loan at Villa and impressing, the Villains board have given Sherwood the green light to sign the 25-year-old on a £40,000 a week contract.

His career at United seems to be over with his performances frustrating fans before he left to Aston Villa on loan. Cleverley made 22 appearances when David Moyes took over at Old Trafford but since van Gaal took over has only appeared once last August.
