Reports suggest that Manchester United are interested in signing Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca in the summer.

The Columbian has scored an impressive 21 goals in 43 appearances so far this season and is believed to be worth around £15m.

Louis van Gaal is on a search for a new striker with Robin van Persie set to leave and Radamel Falcao’s loan spell set to end after failing to impress in his spell Old Trafford scoring just four goals. 

The reports also say that United are ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal in the battle for the 28-year-old.

The striker will be part of van Gaal’s rebuilding plan for next season to help challenge for the Premier League title.

After a slow start to the season United currently sit in third and are on track to qualify for the Champions League after a season absence. Van Gaal’s side had won six consecutive league games before their 1-0 defeat to league leaders Chelsea at the weekend.

Manchester United will travel to Goodison Park on Sunday April 26 to face Everton.
