Manchester United defender Rafael Da Silva may have very well played his final game for the club he has been at since he was 17 years old.

The defender suffered three cracked ribs during United’s U21 clash with Leicester Monday night, according to the Daily Mail.

Rumours have been swirling for months linking the Brazilian with a move away from Old Trafford. The 24-year-old has struggled all season with injuries and finding playing time under new manager Louis van Gaal.

His latest injury setback will rule him out for up to six weeks, and with United’s final game May 24th, effectively ending his season.

Rafael went up for a challenge with Leicester midfielder Anthony Knockaert who’s knee collided with his opponent’s side.

Van Gaal could be set to ship out Rafael with rumours of United holding heavy interest in Southampton’s right fullback Nathaniel Clyne.

The youngster is in his third season at St. Mary’s and has impressed scouts with his play on both sides of the ball, setting him up for a potential big money move in the summer.
