Manchester United have confirmed that Memphis Depay has completed his medical with the club ahead of his proposed transfer from Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven.

Depay, 21, flew into the United Kingdom today to seal his transfer for a reported fee of £25million, and the club website has announced that his medical went without issue.

The statement on the club's official website manutd.com reads:

"Memphis Depay has today completed his medical at Manchester United.

The Club will now work towards finalising his registration when the international transfer window opens in June."

The Netherlands international winger had been linked with a host of top clubs around Europe including Premier League rivals Liverpool, but his links with United's Dutch manager Louis van Gaal were thought to be a deciding factor in his decision to make the move to Manchester.

He scored 50 goals in 124 appearances for PSV during his time at the club, including 28 in 40 this season as he won the golden boot in the Dutch Eredivisie.

He also has fifteen caps for his country, and made an impact on the international scene by scoring twice in last summer's World Cup finals in Brazil.
