Manchester United have agreed personal terms with French youngster Dayot Upamecano ahead of a possible summer move to Old Trafford.

The Valenciennes player was subject of a 450 thousand euro bid in January from United but it was rejected by Valenciennes.

Upamecano has agreed personal terms with Louis van Gaal at United according to L'Equipe but a fee still needs to be agreed between the two clubs.

Manchester City and Arsenal were also interested in the 16-year-old but the signs are looking positive for United to be the club welcoming him next season.

This news will be met positively by Reds fans who saw Louis van Gaal sign 16-year-old goalkeeper Ilia Moutha Sebtaoui. If this signing is complete it will be United's third before the transfer window has even opened with Memphis Depay signing from PSV earlier in May.
