Daley Blind has praised fellow Netherlands star and new Manchester United signing Memphis Depay ahead of his move to the club.

Depay's move to Old Trafford was announced in May with the deal thought to be around £25 million to bring him away from PSV Eindhoven.

He was linked with Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool and United before joining former-Holland manager Louis van Gaal in Manchester.

At 21 years old and the top scorer in the Eredisivie, he's widely tipped to follow in some of United's great players when he joins up with the club at the start of the transfer window.

Blind spoke about his variety of attributes and his brilliant work rate, saying, ”He is a player who can change games. He has a great free-kick, a great dribble, a great shot.

“He’s young, talented and always wants to work hard. He always wants to better himself on the training pitch, that’s how I know him.

“I think he is quiet, but if he has something to say he will, if you know what I mean! Yes, he is very confident, but he is a good guy.”

Blind made 25 appearances for United last season, scoring twice with a pass accuracy rate of 88%.
