Even though Louis van Gaal has only made one signing so far, that one signing has the potential to be incredible.

Often compared to a future Cristiano Ronaldo, this is youngster Memphis Depay's first step to becoming the next superstar in world football.

Depay a stunning start to United transfer window

Like Ronaldo, Depay started off at his local club PSV Eindhoven. Then, again like Ronaldo, moved for a big fee to Manchester United. Depay is slightly more well known than Ronaldo but still, they are very similar players.

Depay is very quick, physical, very skilled, and strong on the ball, which allows him to create and score many goals for whatever club he is playing for.

The one thing about Depay that you can't compare to Ronaldo is his heading ability. Standing at a measly 1.75 meters tall, Depay does not score nearly the amount of headers that Ronaldo scores. Though if Depay pans out anywhere near how Ronaldo did, this signing would be a fantastic one for Van Gaal.

Depay could fit in really well with this team. Expect him to start on the left side, with Wayne Rooney up top and Angel Di Maria on the right.

With the probable departure of Robin van Persie to Turkish club Fenerbahce, and Radamel Falcao signing for Chelsea, Rooney will take lone striker duties throughout the 15/16 campaign. The signing of Memphis Depay will be a spectacular one.

Falcao out, van Persie could follow

The departure of Radamel Falcao seemed inevitable, after the shocking season he had last year. It was obviously a good choice from Van Gaal to let Falcao leave as he really did not fit in with the United side and ultimately led to a wasted season in his career.

Additionally, Robin van Persie has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Super Lig club Fenerbahce. The Dutchman’s stock plummeted after he too had a pretty poor season. Plagued with injuries and inconsistent playing time, Van Persie did better than Falcao, but Falcao didn’t set the bar very high at all.

Ramos, Scheiderlin heavily linked as De Gea exit saga draws on

Rumors also persist with Sergio Ramos making a massive move to United in some sort of swap deal with David De Gea. This looks like there is a 50/50 chance it could happen. Ramos has stated he is not happy with his contract situation and there have been rumors since January about De Gea to Madrid so it is very possible.

Morgan Schneiderlin would also be a magnificent signing for the Reds. Schneiderlin was magical last season for Southampton and was a vital part in their Europa League qualifying season. He is also often linked with United and Arsenal.

That is all to be assessed for now, but what else can Van Gaal do to improve the side? With his massive budget anything is possible.
