Memphis Depay will get his first opportunity to meet a host of his new Manchester United teammates as he reports to the first day of pre-season training on Monday.

The 21-year-old winger will report to Carrington on Monday morning as United begin their preparations ahead of their pre-season tour of the United States of America.

Depay will already be aware of the likes of Robin Van Persie and Daley Blind while on international duty, but this will be the first time he will get to meet a number of his new teammates since his £25m move from PSV  earlier in the summer.

He finished the top scorer in Eredivisie last season with 22 goals and it looks realistic that Depay will get to show his abilities for the first time in United shirt in the friendly against Club America on July 17.

One former player that believes Depay has the ability to settle in quickly at Old Trafford is striker Roy Makaay, saying it "won't be easy for him" but added that he has the "quality to become a good buy." Makaay went on to say “He's a great player."

There are some faces that United fans will be relieved to see return to pre-season especially goalkeeper David De Gea, the Spaniard has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid for the majority of the summer months and a deal could still happen but for now at least it seems De Gea will be in Manchester.

Makaay added that there will be "some pressure on him because the pressure is always high in this kind of situation."

One player that won’t be returning to Manchester is Nani who landed in Turkey yesterday to take a medical to complete his move to Fenerbahce
