Manchester United newboy Memphis Depay has admitted how he has settled into his new team as a result of the support from his new teammates at Old Trafford.

Memphis, who signed from PSV Eindhoven earlier this summer has had a successful start to his United career, and enjoyed a positive pre-season tour away in USA with the team.

However, now the business has started as the new season kicked off last weekend and Memphis is happy with the way his United spell has started.

When asked if he has settled into life in Manchester, he said that "the players have been good to [him]" by helping him "around Manchester and" telling him "nice places to visit and nice restaurants to eat in with [his] family."

He says he has now "found a house and" wants "to thank the team because they have made it easy for [him]."

Depay taking shirt previously worn by United legends

The Dutch International has taken the iconic number seven shirt at Old Trafford previously worn by the likes of George Best, Eric Cantona and David Beckham and believes that he can cope with the added pressures that come with the shirt.

He said that he played last year "with seven on my back [for PSV] and I scored a lot of goals so I am confident with that number."

Memphis, as he likes to be known as, says that he is aware of the pressure of the number seven and he wants "to be as good as possible this year" and "bring creative things, goals" to Manchester United.

However, he has "to play with discipline in midfield" by not losing the ball too much, even if he says he can "make risks on the sides and when [he] comes into the third phase" because then he can make his "tricks and take risks."

Memphis made his league debut along with Morgan Schneiderlin, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Sergio Romero in the 1-0 win over Spurs on Saturday and has high expectations about his time with United where he can show everyone what he's really made of.
