Manchester United head to Belgium on Wednesday to take on Club Brugge in the second leg of there Champions League qualifier, in which United take a 3-1 lead into the game after the win at Old Trafford last week.

United have the advantage in the tie thanks to a brace from Memphis Depay and a last minute goal from Marouane Fellaini, and this was after Brugge took the lead with a Michael Carrick own goal.

It's been too long since United have been in the Champions League and they just have to make sure they achieve it this week, as the loser of the tie will drop into the UEFA Europa League which would be a disaster for United.

United go into the game on the back of a goaless draw against Newcastle United at the weekend and will be looking to score a few goals on Wednesday night against Brugge, and United's defence are coming into the game on the back of three clean sheets from three in the Premier League.

Team News

Phil Jones will once again miss the match against Brugge as he is still recovering from mild thrombosis. David de Gea will once again not play because of transfer speculation, so Sergio Romero is set to play again.

Marcos Rojo is not with the squad as he still lacks match fitness but Louis van Gaal has confirmed he's set to play a reserve game this week. Antonio Valencia, Jonny Evans and Andreas Pereira have not made the 18 man squad for the game.

Marouane Fellaini is free to play in the Champions League and is set to play some part in the game. Memphis Depay who starred in the win last week, is set to be the main attraction again as Van Gaal will be hoping he can do it all again in the second leg.

Van Gaal would not give much away on who would start the game, but hinted that there could be some players rotated for the game.

Club Brugge

Club Brugge go into the game missing a few players, which include their captain Timmy Simons as he picked up an injury in the first leg, and they will also be without Brandon Mechele due to him getting sent off in the first leg.

Brugge go into the game after a disappointing defeat at the weekend to Zulte-Waregem, where they lost 2-0, which leaves them in sixth position in the Belgian Pro League with only seven points from five matches.

Brugge go into the game unbeaten in their last 10 European home games in which they have won 6 and drawn 4, and they beat Panathinaikos 3-0 in the previous round in the Champions League at home.

Brugge know that a similar type of result against United will put them through as they only need a 2-0 win because of the away goal from the first leg.
