Louis van Gaal after the match against Swansea City says that his Manchester United team need to learn from the way that they lost the game in a space of a five minute spell, and confirmed his transfer strategy won't change because of the defeat.

Van Gaal saw his United side take a 1-0 lead, thanks to a goal from Juan Mata early in the second half, but in a five minute spell in the second half Swansea scored two goals to win the game, and Van Gaal says that this can't happen again.

Van Gaal said Swansea were very tough to break down

Van Gaal said Swansea "are very compact in the last 20-25 minutes" and Van Gaal knows if you are chasing the game "it's very difficult to beat a team like that" which it turned out to be true.

Van Gaal also said he wasn't worried about the lack of goals saying United "could have scored many more goals, I don't think it's a problem" despite the Reds scoring just three goals in the first four Premier League games.

Van Gaal says his team did not react to Swansea's change of shape

Van Gaal continued to say about the match that "we were 1-0 ahead and dominating the game" but the problem with only having a one goal lead is that "Swansea changed their shape and we didn't react".

Van Gaal said the match was "lost in five minutes and you can't do that" which is unacceptable for a team like United and "we have to learn from that" otherwise going forward it could be a real problem for the team.

Van Gaal revealed after the match that just because United lost he would not be changing his transfer strategy as there is no need to panic.

Van Gaal says United will not panic buy

Van Gaal says United "are not in a panic in the last moments of the market" and he knows there's no need to go on a spending spree and also said "when you are scouting players, you already know who you are getting".

Van Gaal will know United need to bounce back quickly after the international break as fans will turn on him quickly, which is not what he wants to happen, so things should be fixed very soon.
