Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has sealed a move to West Bromwich Albion.

Lindegaard, 31, will join up with former-Manchester United teammates Jonny Evans who signed for the Baggies yesterday and Darren Fletcher who joined in January.

Lindegaard joins West Bromwich Albion

The Danish goalkeeper played 29 times for United in his four years at the club but has never been anything more than a back up for the Reds.

At West Brom he'll take the number twenty one but will have to work hard to gain a place in the first team. He has a signed a two-year deal at The Hawthorns.

Lindegaard impressed with Baggies progress in Premier League

Lindegaard says he has "been impressed with how well West Brom have done in the Premier League" since he moved to England in 2011 for £3.5 million.

He says Tony Pulis had a "good chat" with him and "convinced [him] it would be a good move" for him and the club. Since then "things moved very quickly" and Lindegaard "was very keen to get it done" in order to "concentrate on the thing that matters most, the football."

De Gea also set to leave, Valdes unwanted at United

Lindegaard becomes the first goalkeeper to leave United in the last two days of the transfer window but David De Gea is also expected to depart Old Trafford, close to signing for Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Victor Valdes has become an outcast at United, with Louis van Gaal citing a refusal to play for the reserves as the reason.

He says he is "very happy to join" and hopes he "can make a big contribution this season" while the Baggies' goalkeeping coach Jonathan Gould says that they have signed "an experienced goalkeeper" who "has an international pedigree".
