David de Gea was all set to become a Real Madrid player yesterday, but it fell though as Madrid submitted the paperwork late, and now as De Gea was promised he'd be a Real Madrid player he will receive €10million in compensation because the move broke down.

De Gea transfer was expected to happen all summer

All summer it was almost certain that De Gea would join Real Madrid, but it didn't happen and now he will stay at Manchester United for at least another six months, which really isn't too bad a thing.

Real Madrid finally got an agreement with United for De Gea on the last day of the transfer window, but because it was left so late the deal didn't happen, which lead to a massive amount of questions to why.

Multiple reports in Spain say that the reason De Gea had been turning down a huge pay rise from United was because De Gea was in the knowledge that the deal would finally happen, but as it turned out he will get compensation from Madrid for it not happening.

De Gea behaved professionally during speculation

De Gea behaved very well during all of the speculation and wanted the move a lot, but now he will have to regain his focus and come back and play for United this season, and see what happens in a few months time.

Big season ahead for De Gea at United

This is a massive season for De Gea with the Euros next summer and will need to have loads of games to make sure he can be Spain's number one next summer, so he will need to get his head down and get on with what he does best.

De Gea will get his money he has been promised from Madrid and will likely get the move in the not to distant future and one things for sure, the United fans will always back De Gea and will get behind him now he's back at United.
