Sergio Ramos has told David de Gea that life goes on and to show his best form for Manchester United this season, even after his move to Real Madrid fell through because of paperwork being late.

De Gea was very close to being a team mate of Ramos at Real Madrid

De Gea was very close to joining Ramos as a Real Madrid player only for it not to happen, which for De Gea was upsetting, but Ramos, who is currently with the goalkeeper on international duty, has given the advice for De Gea is to get on with his work.

Ramos, speaking after his arrival at Spain's camp ahead of their upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers, said that "life goes on" and that his national team teammate will maintain his place as one of the world's best goalkeepers.

Ramos says he has not talked to De Gea about not joining Real Madrid

Ramos says that he has "not talked to David and doesn't know his opinion" but he has some advice for the goalkeeper saying "nobody has died for this" which is true and Ramos knows that De Gea is "one of the best keepers".

Ramos continued to say "De Gea has had a bumpy summer because he has decided his future and that of his family" as De Gea was ready to move to Spain with his girlfriend and it is "something we have to go through at times."

Ramos was heavily linked to United this summer

Ramos himself was heavily rumored earlier in the summer with a move to United in a deal with De Gea going the other way, but speculation ended when Ramos signed a new contract at Real Madrid.

Ramos knows De Gea will be disappointed but knows he is a professional and will give it his all for United this season, and has given his backing to De Gea to have a great season ahead of the Euros next summer.
