Morgan Schneiderlin, who joined Manchester United this summer, has revealed that his French teammate Patrice Evra, who left United last summer to join Juventus is regarded as an idol at United.

Evra won many trophies at Manchester United

Evra left United last summer, after eight and a half years at the club, where he won a huge amount of trophies, and Schneiderlin says Evra's impact at United is comparable with the club's greats.

Schneiderlin compared Evra to names such as "Beckham, Scholes, Giggs and Cantona" and if your being compared to them at a club like United then you are known as a legend of the club.

Schneiderlin says Evra is an idol for United

Schneiderlin, speaking to Le Parisen, said that when you "speak to people in Manchester, and all of the French people need to know this" well then Evra is known as an idol by everyone that talks about him.

Schneiderlin continued to say "Patrice is someone who is unanimously loved by everyone; in the club, as well as outside of it" which is true as no one has never had one bad word to say about Evra as he is a top professional.

During his time at the club, Evra skippered United on a few occasions and was ever present as United managed to reach three Champions League finals in four years, which was a fantastic time for the club.

Evra is a perfect person to give Schneiderlin some advice about United

Schneiderlin will be getting a lot of advice from Evra while on international duty as he has just joined recently, and there is no one better to get advice on about United than Evra as he loved the club a lot during his time.

Evra was a very popular player during his time at United and was definitely a fans favorite, and a lot fans were very upset when he left the club last summer, as they knew he was a real leader on the pitch and in the dressing room which is a big loss to the club, but everyone wished him well when he did leave.
