Louis van Gaal, at his pre match press conference before the Arsenal game, says he is very wary of an Arsenal backlash when Manchester United face them at the Emirates on Sunday after the defeat that they suffered in midweek in the Champions League to Olympiakos.

Arsenal have had an inconsistent start to the season

Arsenal have had an inconsistent start to the season and will be looking to make a statement against United on Sunday by beating them, and Van Gaal has praised Arsenal saying they are technically the best team in the league, but they don't win much.

Van Gaal said "Arsenal are technically and tactically the best team in the league" which is accurate and most will agree with the Dutchman but Van Gaal continued to say that "they haven't won so much, so you have to look for that improvement with that team" as they have only won the FA Cup in the last 9 years.

Van Gaal is happy with his team but is wary of an Arsenal backlash this weekend

United go into the game at the top of the Premier League table and are currently three points ahead of Arsenal before the game this weekend, and Van Gaal is happy but is wary that the Gunners will look to bounce back against them this weekend to prove a point that they are title contenders.

Van Gaal said "We are happy but I think Arsenal can come back from a defeat" which is true as it is every teams mission to make sure they beat United so they will be up for the game and Van Gaal knows that Arsenal "have shown a lot of times" that they can beat a team when they are down.

Both teams will want to prove a point this weekend

Both teams will be out to prove a point this weekend and show why they are title contenders this season, and usually matches between these twos teams are very tense and are good games to watch, and it won't be any different to that this weekend with both teams searching for a big win.
