Manchester United travel to the Emirates to face Arsenal this weekend in a big game which will test both teams credentials to see if they really are title contenders.

There are going to be battles all over the pitch, so here are five things to look out for in the game this weekend.

Darmian's versatility

Matteo Darmian has played right back for most of the season so far, but since Luke Shaw suffered his broken leg, Darmian has had to play at left back. It is not a position that Darmian hasn't played before as he played left back for Torino last season and did a very good job there, and he has done well there for United when he has had to. This weekend Darmian is once again set to play at left back and it will probably be his biggest test with the pacy players which Arsenal have at their disposal.

Arsenal's quick attackers

Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott will be a big test for United's back four on Sunday because of the real attacking pace that both possess. Sanchez is just coming into form over the last two games and Walcott continues to score when he starts. Chris Smalling though has been a real rock this season and has some pace on him so he will have to watch them on Sunday. Daley Blind is likely to be targeted by Arsenal as he does not have the pace of the other defenders, so the hope is United will be able to cope the best they can.

Can Martial continue his good form?

Anthony Martial has started his career with United fantastically and he'll be hoping to have a lot of joy this weekend against the Arsenal defence. Martial has looked so calm since he has come into the United team and played superbly is every game he has played. The question though, is whether or not he is capable of scoring against teams like Arsenal? That question will be answered this weekend, but the he'll do well to ignore the inevitable criticism that will follow, should he fail to deliver in such a high profile game.

David de Gea making the difference in goal

David de Gea's return to United's goal has made such a difference to the team, allowing them to play more freely now that they can trust the goalkeeper behind them to a larger extent than with Sergio Romero. De Gea is such a big player for United and to keep him from Real Madrid's grasp was a huge thing for the club. Before De Gea came back it had just looked like United were going to go on a bad run, but since then the Red Devils have won three on the bounce and with De Gea in nets the hope is he will win United lots of points this season, as they mount a title charge.

Can Juan Mata continue to be the catalyst?

Juan Mata has been in excelltn form the last few weeks and will be looking to continue that against Arsenal. Amazing against Wolfsburg in midweek, Mata basically won United the match singlehandedly and the hope is now that he can continue this kind of form. Mata has scored a few goals against Arsenal before, but people question his performances away from home, so manager Louis van Gaal will be hoping Mata can step up and create chances for the team in this big match.
