French international Yohan Cabaye has praised his fellow countrymen Anthony Martial for a dream start in the Premier League. The Crystal Palace midfielder believes the former Monaco forward has surprised many in Premier League but the former never had doubts about the latter’s talent.

Martial became the most expensive teenager in the world when he completed his move to Manchester United on deadline day for £36 million. The French forward made his debut against Liverpool at Old Trafford and scored a brilliant individual goal.He has scored four goals in seven appearances for the Red Devils.

Martial composed for his age

The midfielder is currently on international duty along with Martial. While talking to media, Cabaye insisted that “people speak about Martial in England” but he is “not surprised about how quickly he (Martial) fits in and what he’s able to do on the pitch as he is very talented.”

The former Paris Saint Germain midfielder also praised Martial for his maturity. He suggested that “by the way he plays and behaves on and outside the pitch, he seems very calm and adult.”Martial has injected life into United’s attacking department, the teenager’s arrival has helped United in scoring goals and creating more chances.

Martial unfazed by the transfer fee

United were heavily criticised for the fee they paid for Martial and labelled him as a panic buy.Louis Van Gaal claimed that United paid huge fee for the Martial as he is best in his age.Cabaye believes that Martial has easily “managed all the fuss about his transfer and the fees.”The French midfielder insisted that the fee was not Martial’s fault as the teenager “did not ask for nothing in term of the amount spent.”

Cabaye also believes that Martial will continue to do well for the Manchester giant as “he has great abilities.”The former Newcastle midfielder is “hopeful about Martial leaving a mark on Premier League.” The Red Devils will need Martial to continue his good form in order to bounce back from a defeat against Arsenal.
