Manchester United’s attacking midfielder Juan Mata has admitted that he has no plans to return to Spain as he is happy in England.

Mata came to Premier League when he joined Chelsea four years ago from Valencia. The Spaniard has been one of the effective midfielders in Premier League in his four years having been involved in 74 goals just behind Manchester City’s David Silva.

Mata was named Chelsea’s player of the year for two consecutive years but was out of favour when Jose Mourinho rejoined the club in 2013. He then moved to Manchester United for then club’s record fee of £37.1 million.

Mata happy with life in Manchester

Mata has been a very good signing for the Red Devils as he has been involved in most goals than any other United player since he has joined the club. The Spanish international is also a fan favourite so he loves playing for the club. He has started the season strongly as he has grabbed five goals and five assists this year.

While talking to El Pais he admitted that he doesn't even  “think about it(returning to Spain)” despite the fact that he “misses his family and friends but  for now he is very happy in Manchester.” The midfielder also added that the fans of the club make him feel that he “he has just arrived at the club” and he wants to “win many things with this club.”

Every player should once experience Premier League

Mata has insisted that playing in Premier League is “a very positive experience.” He also further advised that “every player should atleast spend one year in Premier League” because this league is “fantastic in terms of fans, structure and football.” He believes that the fans “pay special respect towards the players even if they are losing games.” This helps the players to be more “motivated to share successes with the supporters.”

Mata is currently on international duty as Spain booked their ticket to Euro 2016. The Spanish player has been in brilliant form and would be looking to emulate it for national team and continue it for the club after the break.
