Manchester United striker Anthony Martial had a full international debut to remember on Sunday in France's 2-1 friendly victory over Denmark.

Martial's magnificent start

It has been a magnificent start for the 19-year-old since his £36million deadline day switch from AS Monaco to Old Trafford with a string of excellent performances and four goals to his name, prompting senior coach Didier Deschamps to give him an opportunity in the first-team, having featured in youth levels previously.

Defeated Danes

Martial repaid Deschamps' faith in him within minutes of the start. Creating an assist for Arsenal's Olivier Giroud, before netting one of his own shortly afterwards. Erik Sviatchenko's goal halved the deficit, but proved to be a mere consolation on the evening.

Giroud's redemption

Giroud very much had a point to prove - having failed to really kick on for Arséne Wenger's side so far this season having become the second-choice forward, being consequently replaced by Theo Walcott and was booed back last month by the French faithful for his poor showing back in September.

This brace will not only boost his confidence but sealed their fourth consecutive victory having already qualified for next summer's tournament as hosts while the Danes will have to go through the play-off process.

High expectations for the teen

Despite being at the Red Devils little more than a month, he has insisted that he has seen enough to believe that Louis van Gaal's side are capable of winning both the Premier League and Champions League titles.

Martial said that he believes they can win "both of them" and that United are among the "top five" sides in Europe.

Also, he commented on his own personal blistering start to the campaign saying that it was "going well" so far and that he has had a "great welcome" from the supporters and he thought that his debut goal against Liverpool allowed the fans to know him a "bit better" as they're a "big enemy" of the club.

Martial will look continue his spectacular form when Manchester United take on Roberto Martinez' Everton side on Saturday, October 16 with kick-off at 3PM BST.
