Real Madrid have been banned by FIFA from registering players from February 2015 till July 2017. Also, Atletico Madrid have been banned too and FIFA have said: “The two clubs were found to have violated several provisions concerning the international transfer and first registration of minor players as well as other relevant provisions with regard to the registration and participation of certain players in competitions.”

Recently reports revealed Real Madrid and Manchester United will go head-to-head to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, with the current situation the Spanish giants are facing it could mean Manchester United receive the upper hand on trying to sign the Englishman who has been on quite some form this season.

Is Kane good enough for United?

Harry Kane had the perfect season in 2014/15 with Tottenham playing 51 matches and scoring 31 goals in all competitions. Kane can play in many roles as a striker; target man, advance striker and as a poacher. If Tottenham were to finish in the top four this season, Kane’s form will be really important to them, as he is relied on for most of their goals. Kane is the only all out striker for Tottenham, as long as he gets good service he converts most the chances and also creates his own chances too.

The big question in the summer was, was Harry Kane a one season wonder? Well, Kane has managed to score 15 goals in 29 appearances. The 22-year-old has already done enough in his third season at the club to prove last season heroics were not a one-off situation. Kane isn’t a striker who has the total package, in other words, he doesn’t have a huge amount of pace but he does have the ability of having the physical basics of scoring and knowing which area to be in for a goal opportunity.

Abilities which Kane has are vital in a league like the Premier league, he is tall and quite strong which is important especially if you’re used as a lone striker or a target man. Kane is a good finisher if you give him one chance he will definitely take it, he has good ball control and doesn’t lose it very easily and he can shield it well whilst waiting for his team-mates to come support him. The intelligence Kane has plays a big role of him being successful and is a talent not many strikers have nowadays.

Would he move to Old Trafford?

The main demand Harry Kane would ask before a move to Manchester United is, would he be a regular starter at the club? Being Spurs best striker guarantees him a start in the first team every week, but at Manchester United, he would be facing competition from Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney which he may not be happy with. Currently, Martial is used on the wings, Rooney covers the striker’s role and if Kane was to join the Reds in the summer how would Martial, Rooney and Kane all fit into the team?

In the past few months, Manchester United have been going through a difficult time especially with the manager Louis van Gaal. Club legends like Peter Schmeichel and Paul Scholes have given their opinions on how boring and negative the football was, fortunately for them and the club, things seem to be turning around with attacking football returning for the past few games or so. But if the old football style did return, Harry Kane would question himself on whether he wants to join a club that aren’t playing attacking or exciting football and may prefer to stay at Tottenham which wouldn’t be a surprise.

Spurs' rely on him too much to sell?

In the past 18 months, Harry Kane has scored 46 goals in 80 matches in all competitions. With the poor performances from Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor during the 2014/15 season, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino decided to give Harry Kane a chance. Kane came on as a substitute against Aston Villa and he went on to score the winner in the final seconds to capture the three points and earned his first Premier League start of the season for Tottenham after scoring eight goals in eight games.

Tottenham’s chairman Daniel Levy has been a tough person to settle a negotiation with as he always gets his way. In the past, Levy has been very aggressive in the deals of Luka Modric, Dimitar Berbatov, Gareth Bale and now possibly Harry Kane.  In the current transfer market, Kane would be worth around between £30m and £35m, but if Kane carries on scoring until the end of the season and a team from the same league like Manchester United want him don’t be surprised if Daniel Levy wants double his worth.
