De Gea says the clean sheet against Stoke was amazing

De Gea continued to say "Stoke are a great team and the Premier League is always a difficult league in which to keep a clean sheet, but that was key" as everyone has seen that there is no such thing as an easy game in the league this season with it being so wide open.

The big problem this season for United is that they have been unable to score a first-half goal at Old Trafford since September, therefore meaning teams can easily play against United and pick them off. However, against Stoke the team got the early goal, and De Gea feels that it was very important that they did.

De Gea feels the early goal against Stoke helped the team settle

De Gea on the team trying to score an early goal said "we tried as soon as possible, and we did that. We got the early goal and it made it easier for us" as it gave the team the confidence to settle down, and keep going forward, and try and get more goals.

Ahead of a busy month De Gea says that the "victory over Stoke is a perfect start, we wanted these three points" as now the team go on to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, and the goalkeeper says that "we need to keep fighting like this, and for sure we will win more games".
