Angel Di Maria says that he is determined to wipe away his sad experience at Manchester United, and move on with Paris Saint-Germain.

Di Maria says he has no regrets about leaving United

Di Maria signed for United in the summer of 2014 for a British record fee of £59.7m from Real Madrid, but he left to join PSG after one season at the club to end a bad spell at United. The Argentine says has no regrets about his move away.

Speaking to French magazine L'Equipe about his time at United, Di Maria said: "Manchester United was a sad experience" as he just couldn't get to grips with what Louis van Gaal was expecting of him, and what the English league was all about.

Di Maria says things didn't go as he wanted at United

The winger continued to say that "things didn't go as I had hoped. I was disappointed and it didn't help me to rise to the surface". That is the thoughts of many United fans as they thought his arrival was an exciting moment for the club, but it just didn't work out.

Since Di Maria joined PSG in the summer he has taken the French league by storm scoring eight goals in Ligue 1, and is once again showing the world what he is all about which United fans are finding incredibly sad as they know what a player he could have been, and Di Maria is happy at the French champions.

Di Maria says he is very happy at PSG

Di Maria said "I don't even remember anymore what happened at United and I don't want to remember. I am happy to be here that's the most important thing" and that's the main thing that the player is happy, and not being kept at a club against his will.

The turning point on Di Maria's time at United seemed to be when his house was broken into by burglars, and since that it seemed him and his family were determined to leave England as they were frightened it would happen again.
