Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic says that it will feel great to his make his debut for his new club in his home country, and is keen to give the fans what they want as he looks to impose himself.

Zlatan is excited to make his debut

United play Galatasaray on Saturday evening in Gothenburg in a pre-season friendly that Jose Mourinho added into his team's schedule, and Ibrahimovic is part of his 23-man squad he has picked for the game.

Ibrahimovic signed at the beginning of July but was given an additional holiday by Mourinho. He trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Thursday and is now set to play some part in the game against Galatasaray.

Ibrahimovic is, therefore, looking forward to getting some game-time after an extended break and to impress all the United fans who are excited to see him.

Zlatan, speaking to MUTV about the possibility of making his United debut in Sweden, feels that "everybody has been waiting for this moment" as ever since he signed for the club every United fan has been so excited to see him play. The striker continued to say that making his debut in his home country "will feel great" and he is likely to get a lot of love from the fans as soon as he steps onto the pitch.

The Swedish striker went on to explain that he thinks "the fans are waiting for me to come back" and Ibrahimovic is determined to show them what he can do in a United shirt. Ibrahimovic hopes the team can give the fans a "good game" against Galatasaray as the team builds up to the new season.

Zlatan hails 'concrete' Mourinho

One of the big reasons that Ibrahimovic signed for United was due to Mourinho, as the Swede was eager to join up with the Portuguese manager once again after their successful time at Inter Milan. Ibrahimovic  says that Mourinho is "concrete" and is a great manager.

Speaking about Mourinho, Zlatan said "he is direct, he is concrete" which is what he wants from a manager. Ibrahomivc admits that he "says what he wants and the players are adapting" and over time things are only going to get better for the club. Zlatan says that he believes in "working hard" as this gives him the best platform to perform to such a high ability.
